Strawberry Turnover~

trinh_lily_flo-2

Earlier this week, I presented my Strawberry Turnover recipe layout for a project done in my Studio Lighting class! I photographed the turnovers and I created a cute themed recipe layout for it! My classmates and instructor loved my finished project. The color of sea foam green is very popular, cute, and it is one of my favorite colors! I am happy I was able to use it in my food shot and on my layout!

Disclaimer: The sea foam green shows up more saturated on the photo above, so it isn’t suppose to look like that ๐Ÿ˜…

Decorative masking tape!

Decorative masking tape, or “deco tape”, is an essential supply you need in your craft box! If you’re into bullet journaling, snail mailing, scrapbooking, or anything crafty, deco tape makes your project extra cute! You can create boarders, use them on picture corners, or just to add a little pop onto the page!

Now a days, you can find decorative tape almost every where, crafts store, Japanese Goods stores, and even at Target! The ones I have, I bought them mostly from Daiso Japan and Ichi Ban Kan. I use them when I send letters to my pen pals, when I’m decorating a birthday card, and just to cover up rips and cracks on things I have, haha. It’s useful, practical, and definitely adorable!

These are the cutest cat flats out there! They are super comfy and super cute. I ordered these from an online store Brave on Storenvy.com. They sell all sorts of cute apparel and accessories. However, I think these pair of flats are currently out of stock, since I cannot find the item on their store. I’m sure, if you’re interested, you can probably find your own pair on storenvy.com or just google “cat flats”!

Cute iPhone Cases and where to buy them!

I own a iPhone 6s Plus and pictured are my variety of cute phone cases! To me, phone cases are a type of accessory you change out now and then. There are people who can just stick to one phone case, but that is not me!

I love to change out my phone cases. I may get tired of seeing the same look and it is refreshing to see something new on something you use and keep with you at all times.

All of the iPhone cases I purchased are from eBay! eBay is the place to find the most adorable and affordable cases for all kinds of smart phones. It is my go to place when I’m feeling like I’m due for a new phone case, haha. Yes, sometimes it might not be what it is pictured, but 99% of the time the product is true to description! These iPhone cases all range from lowest of $1.99 to highest maybe at $5.99 – free shipping, too! Super cheap! But the down side is waiting for it to arrive, since it is shipped from China. I adore all of my phone cases ๐Ÿ’•

Commissioned Artwork

There are tons of talented artists all around the world and when open up for commission, it is thing to get a portrait of yourself, your significant other, a friend, or even family member as a gift! Pictured above are commissioned artwork of me and my boyfriend.

Left: Is byย Shiroi โ™ฅ Room, based inVancouver, Canada. Her art style is super cute with the most cutest color schemes in her artwork. My boyfriend was the one who contacted her for a commissioned artwork of us, since I wanted something of her style. It was a wonderful anniversary gift for our 5 years!

Right: Is by Natali Koromoto, based in Brooklyn, New York. He art style is much more different than Shiroi Room, but still cute nonetheless! Natali loves The Simpsons, so does my boyfriend and I;ย so it was cute how she incorporated Itchy from Itchy and Scratchy into the art work. This was a commissioned artwork gift from me to my boyfriend for our 4th year anniversary, he loves it!

HOW TO:
To request a commission, first the artist has to announce that they will open up for commission. These artists and many other are very busy, so when they do have the time (or need to make extra cash) they will be able to do commissions. You’d simply email them and tell them what you want in the portrait (usually they charge by the portrait of person (1 person, $20. 2 persons, $40. and so on) But their price ranges doย vary by different artists. You would send them pictures of course for references and you pretty much just tell them whatever you’d like in the artwork. You would usually send payment through paypal and in the end, they would send you a hi-res pdf file you can go get printed yourself. It is not a bad deal at all! For something so personal and customized. It makes the best gifts (if you’re one who can’t draw at all ๐Ÿ˜…)
