Rilakkuma is my all time favorite character from Japan! Pictured is a photo of all my Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma plushies all together for a photo shoot 🙂

I would say, my love for this character started in my sophomore year in high school. I have tons of stationary and other knick-knacks with Rilakkuma on them!

Most of my Rilakkuma plushies were gifts from my significant others, awesome friends, and some I even bought for myself because it was just so cute!

Sailor Moon Petite Charas

Fighting evil by moonlight
Winning love by daylight
Never running from a real fight
She is the one named Sailor Moon

Who loves Sailor Moon!? I do! I have a small collection of the Sailor Moon Petite Charas! Two were gifts, and the rest I bought unboxed at Japantown San Francisco!

Sailor Moon Petite Charas comes in many different series, or versions, where they each have different poses, expressions, and outfits! They come in a box and are called “blind boxes” or “surprise boxes”! What that means is that you won’t be able to pick which character you want. So whatever box you get, it will be surprise!

If you want one, or more, I’d suggest buying them online or at a Kinokuynia Japanese Bookstore.

Cute character pouches!

Plushies?? Nah, they are pouches! Aren’t they cute? These pouches can be used for almost anything you want! As for me, I use them to hold coins, phone accessories (clip on fish eye lens, external charger), cosmetic essentials, and even cards (credit cards, clipper card).

Both Rilakkuma ones were gifted to me. The sea otter one is from Japan! My friend who visited Japan this year, came back with a little gift for me; she’s so sweet! The other/ flatter Rilakkuma was a secret santa gift from years ago.

The Totoro one my boyfriend ordered for me online (I forgot the site) and it was like, $10.00! It is actually a replica (hence the price). The authentic one has better quality and te white around the eyes are embroidered. You can find one at Kinokuniya! I think it is around $20

Jiji (black cat with red bow) was from Japan Expo! A exposition that was all anime and Japanese culture. I adore Jiji, who is from Studio Ghibli’s “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, and I instantly had to get it when I saw it at a dealer’s booth.

Lastly, the sleeping Dale Tsum Tsum pouch! Super cute and it was the last one when I bought it at the Disney Store! Typically, the “sleeping tsum tsum” are available in Japan (and probably Japanese online stores) so I was so excited to find it at the Disney Store!

Cardcaptor Sakura

Cardcaptor Sakura was one of a few anime I adored and watched while I was growing up! There is news that Cardcaptor Sakura will return into a new TV anime series.

It is this year that is the 20th anniversary of Cardcaptor Sakura. So many new merchandise are coming out from the anime. Pictured above of Sakura, was from a surprise toy box I bought at a Japanese book store call Kinokuniya. I was so lucky to have picked the box with Sakura in it – she is my favorite! This little figure of Sakura is about 1 inch, she is wearing a pink outfit, and her pal Keroberos – one of the two Guardians of the Clow Cards.
